What the 20 minutes actually look like
You bring one thing
One process, one schema, or one architecture diagram that needs to be on a Confluence page. Something non-sensitive — a runbook, an internal data model, a service topology. No confidential schemas, credentials or customer data, please: describe the task in the email, and share your screen only with what you are comfortable showing.
You drive, we watch
You click, not us. We only say what we are stuck on and what we would try next. If you already use Visio, Lucidchart, Mermaid or plain draw.io, bring that file — importing it is a fine thing to try on the call.
It lands on a real page
The session ends with the diagram on a Confluence page in your site — as an editable macro where the app is available, or as an export with the editable source file attached next to it. Both routes and their trade-offs are in the Confluence walkthrough.
Seven days later, one question
We ask whether you edited or reused the diagram yourself. No survey, no upsell call. If it did not stick, that is the useful answer and we want to hear why.
What it costs, before you reply
The session is free. Free means free: it is not conditional on leaving a review, writing a testimonial, or referring anyone, and it is not a disguised sales demo. It also does not include a paid app licence — if your Confluence site is above the free band, the Marketplace app is billed by Atlassian on your site’s user count. From the public listing in US dollars, checked 9 September 2026:
| Users on your Confluence site | Annual app price | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| 1 – 10 | $0 | $0 |
| 11 – 15 | $142.50 | $0.95 per user / month in the 11–100 band |
| 16 – 25 | $237.50 | |
| 26 – 50 | $475 | |
| 51 – 100 | $950 | |
| 101 – 200 | $1,850 | $0.90 per user / month in the 101–250 band |
Free-tier limits, plainly: the $0 band is a price band based on your Confluence site’s user count — it disappears once the site is over 10 users, and it is per site, not per person or per diagram. The Marketplace listing is the source of truth for current price, bands, trial terms and feature availability, and Atlassian can change them. The browser editor you use to prepare is free regardless — no install, no account.
Who this is for
- Confluence Cloud admins and the engineers who nag them.
- Teams moving off Visio or Lucidchart and stuck on “how does this get on the page”.
- Anyone who has a diagram tool and no habit.
Places
Places are limited; participation is confirmed individually. Every request is checked against the sessions already booked and already running, so we cannot promise a place is free until we reply — and if we are full, we say so instead of quietly dropping you.
How to ask for a session
Email the task to the address below, or use the company contact page — it reaches the same inbox. One email, one session; there is no form and no signup.
To: support@appholdings.org
Subject: diagram.now onboarding pilot
Body — the first line is the only part we need. Everything else is optional and only used to book the right session:
The task I want on Confluence: <one process, schema or architecture diagram> Confluence Cloud use (optional): <yes / no / not sure> Approx. site size (optional): <rough user count> My role - admin or buying or engineer (optional): <role> OK to reply about this pilot (optional): <yes / no>
Open it in your mail app — or copy the address above.
What we do with your email
- It goes to our support inbox and is used to arrange and follow up on this session. Nothing else.
- No mailing list, no marketing automation, no third-party form tool, and no separate customer database. This page has no form on purpose: an email you send is the record.
- We keep short notes about the session itself — what got stuck is the thing we are here to learn — and we do not publish your name, company or diagrams without your separate, explicit permission.
- Optional and consent-based: we may ask whether you would let us note how you use diagram.now alongside another tool you already have, for comparison. Declining costs you nothing, and public comparison needs permission again at that point.
FAQ
Do I need the app installed before the call?
No. The browser editor needs nothing. If your Confluence site can install the Marketplace app, or trial it, we can use that on the call; if it cannot, we will build the export and the page layout together and you get the editable source file either way. Tell us your situation in the email and we will prepare for the one you are actually in.
Is the 20 minutes a sales call?
No. It is spent on your diagram, and the outcome is a diagram on a page. You will not be asked for a review, a logo, a testimonial or a referral — at any point, before or after.
Can my whole team join?
Yes, though it works best with one person driving. If your team would rather be involved over months than in one session, the design partner programme is the better fit.
What if we already tried and it failed?
That is the most useful kind of session. Bring the diagram that failed to land and whatever you remember about why.
Can we just do it ourselves?
Genuinely yes — that is what the tutorials are for: SQL to ERD, process to flowchart, architecture to a Confluence page, and the examples gallery.
